Tork Motors T6X Electric Bike expected to launch soon ?

Remember the Tork T6X electric bike from the Pune-based EV startup Tork Motors back from 2016? Little has been known about the electric two-wheeler, which was supposedly the country’s first electric bike. It lost that crown to the Revolt RV 400. And though the Tork T6X had been spotted testing, it now seems that it will hit showrooms soon.

We can judge the near-production nature based on the almost complete bodywork seen on the electric bike in images. Other noticeable features include a new set of alloy wheels, bar-end weights as well as a revised switchgear that now also offers a toggle switch.

As for the powertrain, there doesn’t seem to be any change in the one showcased with the debut bike in 2016. It is expected to come with the same 6kW electric motor that is able to deliver a peak torque of 27Nm and promises a top speed of 100 kmph. While there is no information on the range offered by the electric bike, it does claim to have an 80% battery charge within 2 hours of charging.
