Ultraviolette F77 - India’s first performance-oriented electric motorcycle to launch this year in 2020.


The Ultraviolette F77 is India’s first performance-oriented electric motorcycle, with a claimed top speed of 147 kmph, and 0 to 100 kmph claimed acceleration in 7.5 seconds. The F77 will be available in three variants – Lightning, Shadow and Laser. It is powered by an air-cooled, brushless DC (BLDC) motor with an output of 25 kW (33.5 bhp) with a massive 450 Nm of torque on the rear wheel. The F 77 will get three riding modes – Eco, Sport and Insane, and will priced from around Rs. 3 lakh. The electric power comes from three slim and modular lithium-ion battery packs which offer a claimed range of 130-140 km on a full charge. The battery packs can be charged fully from a standard charger in 5 hours, and a portable fast charger will allow a 0 to 80 per cent charge in just 50 minutes, with a full charge from the fast charger possible in just 90 minutes.

The Ultraviolette F77 gets a full-colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a dedicated mobile app with over-the-air updates, remote diagnostics, bike locator and ride analysis features. There is also a maximum speed limiter, together with a torque delivery controller which can be controlled through the dedicated app. The F77 feature a steel trellis frame, with an inverted cartridge type front fork, along with gas-charged preload adjustable rear shock. Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm front disc, gripped by a four-piston caliper, and a 230 mm rear disc gripped by a single-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard on the Ultraviolette F77.
